Venice at night!
For someone who loves to take pictures of churches, Italy was a dream come true!
The canals are mesmerizing!
The Basilica de San Marco. The details and the beauty were unparalleled! Wish I had been allowed to take pictures inside!
Venice has a flooding problem during high tide! Unfortunately, San Marcos Square gets the brunt of it! They have these risers so people can walk without getting soaked!
Doge’s Palace…the real one (not the one at Epcot)!
We took the Vaporetto over to the island of Burano. It is a photographer’s dream to capture the colorful palate of this town known for it’s lace production!
The hot chocolate in Italy is amazing…it is so thick (almost like a pudding)!
We had to get creative getting around the island…as there was some flooding over there too! This was when the water was finally receding!
We also ventured over to the island of Murano, known for it’s glass making!
San Marco’s Square…wet and rainy!
We ended our day back on the main island of Venice. We visited the ornate and beautiful Doge’s Palace. Every inch of this place was amazing! The rich colors, intricate design, and grandeur of the rooms was truly breath taking!
