Our trip in pictures – Florence, Italy

Some of the sites from our day in Florence…lots of ground to cover!

Ponte Vecchio – one of the most recognizable images in Florence. This is commonly in paintings and photographs. There are shops and restaurants along this bridge!

Here are some statues in the Piazza della Signorio.  You can also find a copy of the Statue of David in this Piazza (just in case you don’t want to pay for the museum).

This is the grounds as you are leaving Santa Croce Church.

These images are from around Santa Croce.  It is the principal Franciscan Church in Florence.

The Campanile – bell tower next to the duomo. It has 414 steps…and no elevator. We passed on that climb!

The pictures below were taken in and around Il Duomo – Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore.
